Students will learn how to make a very different bottom and special woven sides. The basket had two rims. A pair of ceramic handles that I made will be used on the sides to make this a very unique basket. Emphasis will be put on shaping this basket and manipulating the spokes and weavers to achieve this awesome criss cross pattern. The rims will be carefully scarfed and more time will be spent teaching this technique.

BONUS CLASS!!! Together we’ll also create a Heart Basket! This is a basket that can be hung on the wall or used on a table for many things. The basket shown has Spanish moss on it and can have flowers added on. Think of the possibilities!
